On September 29, 2026, OpenAI announced a collection of collaboration updates. Space brings files and Pages together; Pages can begin from a conversation, a template, or direct writing, with collaborators invited to view, comment, or edit.

Share the deliverable deliberately

Content placed on a Page becomes visible to its permitted viewers. Sharing it does not expose private chats or memory. New synced Work tasks can continue across desktop, web, and mobile, while steps requiring a connected computer’s local files still need that computer online.

Plugins get interactive surfaces

Plugins can provide panels, sidebars, and supported file viewers or editors. Supported connected-app events can also start automations, and a Meetings plugin adds meeting workflows. Check each integration’s actual permissions rather than assuming a visible interface grants access to every record.

Sign-in differs from plan usage

Participating products can offer Sign in with ChatGPT. Allowing an app to use eligible users’ existing model allowance is a separate, limited-preview authorization with app-specific limits. A partner can still charge for its service. Signing in does not itself share ChatGPT conversations or memory.
