On October 7, 2026, OpenAI began bringing GPT-6 and Intelligent UI to ChatGPT’s Chat tab. Answers can combine text, charts, buttons, and tools that readers can operate inside a conversation.
Interact with the answer
A comparison might be presented side by side, while an explanation could use a diagram with adjustable inputs. The model chooses a format and can still provide plain text. This capability does not guarantee identical interfaces for repeated questions.
Plans and model boundaries
Rollout starts with Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise, expanding to Free and Go the next day. The former use GPT-6 Sol in Chat; Free and Go use Luna. Intelligent UI supports Instant through Extra High. Pro reasoning continues to use Astra without Intelligent UI. Work and Codex models are unchanged by this release.

GPT-6 can start answering while it continues reasoning or using tools, then add findings. Try a checkable planning task with adjustable quantities and verify the arithmetic. Interactive presentation can improve comprehension, but visual polish is not proof that the underlying information is correct.
